warts

wart on skin how to treat

Warts are a skin disease characterized by the formation of small tumor-like growths on the surface of the skin.

The sizes of warts are various. The formations can be the size of a pin needle and can reach the size of a ruble coin.

The disease is viral in nature and is transmitted through direct contact or through household items that are used by sick and healthy people at the same time.

Usually such growths cause psychological discomfort, since often the places of their localization are visible parts of the body. Warts can be treated with medications, home remedies, or hardware procedures.

Varieties of warts

  • ordinary (simple) - gray-brown nodules of round shape with a rough surface. These warts usually occur on the hands, face, and scalp. Widespread in both children and adults. Simple warts do not cause any pain, but are quite unpleasant from an aesthetic point of view, since they can form entire colonies of benign tumor-like formations;
  • plantar warts: occur, as the name implies, on the plantar surface. In appearance, they resemble calluses, they consist of filiform papillae surrounded by horny layers. The reasons why plantar warts appear include constant pressure from shoes and the formation of an unfavorable microclimate in the area of the soles. When walking, such formations give rise to painful emotions and need proper treatment;
  • Flat warts are small nodules that barely protrude from the surface of the skin. They have a yellowish or flesh color and are most often seen in young people. Flat warts form on the hands and face. As a rule, they are absolutely painless;
  • venereal warts (condylomas) - got their name due to the fact that they are transmitted during sexual contact and affect, respectively, the external genitalia.

The main reason for the appearance of warts in humans is a viral lesion of the skin. The pathogen is transmitted to healthy people through direct contact with a carrier of the virus or through household items. Also, sweating of the skin, minor injuries, burns and some other factors can contribute to the disease. So, for example, plantar warts are easy to get while visiting the pool or showering at the gym.

wart treatment

Currently, the methods of combating warts are generally divided into medical and surgical. The first involve the use of ointments, the use of antiviral drugs, applications of destructive chemicals. All these actions have relatively low efficiency and can only help in the case of the appearance of individual formations, and even in the early stages. Therefore, the modern treatment of warts is based on the use of surgical methods, which in turn are divided into:

  • surgical;
  • cryodestruction methods;
  • radio wave surgery;
  • operations performed with the help of laser technology.

The first two methods are characterized by a painful operation and a long healing period. Also, if not used correctly, they can cause scarring and the reappearance of warts. Laser and radio wave surgery overcomes these shortcomings and offers patients a quick, bloodless and painless treatment for warts on the hands, soles of the feet and other parts of the body.

Warts - folk treatment

People have a variety of recipes to get rid of unsightly skin growths. Here are the most popular of them:

  • Plantar warts are easily removed by applying a cake made with a clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon of vinegar essence and wheat flour. Apply a small amount of this test to the wart and fix it with a dressing or bandage. The bandage is removed after 2-3 hours. If it has not disappeared, the procedure is repeated again to remove the wart. Also note that small, painful dimples will appear instead of the drooping formations. A bandage with ointment is applied to them, which is used until the wounds are completely healed;
  • warts on the hands are quickly removed with the help of Kalanchoe pinnate leaves. Attach them to the warts and bandage them with a bandage. After 3-4 procedures, the warts will disappear;
  • Effective mixture, which is prepared from garlic and lard. Spread it on a cloth, put it on the wart and fix the bandage with a band-aid. It is necessary to change the mass of garlic and suet every day. The course of treatment lasts 4-5 days;
  • It has been noticed that if the wart is rubbed with sour apple juice every day, it will begin to shrink in size and completely disappear after about 10 days. Fresh juice of mountain ash or tomatoes has a similar effect;
  • crushed cornflower seed powders have a good result. They must be done daily. You can also mix the powder with lard and get an ointment to remove warts.

Remember that if you have warts you should discuss an alternative treatment with your doctor or an experienced homeopath. Do not self-medicate, as it can have unexpected and sometimes very unpleasant consequences.
